Atlantians can't feed off mortals they feed off each other (it's gotta be Atlantians) Hawke discovered she is half Atlantian when he feed off her ( when he is bitten her... Remember the forest scene when they had sex?) he then was like your blood is so potent it tastes like an Atlantian but since you don't have the fangs then I suppose one of your parents was Atlantian also vampires here are created given Atlantian blood... Whereas Atlantians by nature are half deities...also I don't wanna spoil you but Atlantians feed off their lovers, it's kinda a thing... So you she isn't a vampire because vampires here are created by mortals who craved power so they hunted Atlantians and feed off them... And she is half Atlantians because one of her parents was and gave birth to her

The last part tho HHHH I just wanna stress the point that vampires are man made it isn't natural at all , and atlantians aren't...you'll get to it in the book don't spoil yourself also enjoy reading this one *whispers* it was smuttier than the 1st book
