Two big plot events, bam-bam! Very welcome, but that was 10 percent ago, and now we’re back to dinner parties/clubs/being hit on and fawned over by literally everyone. And Sam, the single dimensional character, is gone.

Not even a glimmer of plot yet. Dinner parties, club outings, work drama...in a protected-witness cop story. A chapter and a half to establish the point that Jory’s BOSS is a crazy-chick magnet? The character of Sam is solid gold. The rest of this mishmash got absolutely nothin’.
