Another piece of lost treasure science fiction. Beautiful and dangerous, melting my face off from page one. Perhaps a distant inspiration for The Orange Eats Creeps (Grace Krilanovich)--at the very least, that book's dystopian cyberpunk older sister; perhaps less dream-warped by vaguery, yet equally demanding, rip-jag poetic and so, so lyrical.

This one may demand a full review. Dark, with no shortage of trust for the reader. Still in a bit of a swoon. The characters are alive.

Loses the early stream-poetics, but Nogha slips easily into her whip-smart cyberpunk storytelling--a steady drip of world and character squeezing through the mixture of invention and prose. Sometimes a simple word choice does the work of paragraphs--everything from emotion to environment. It's a masterful and beautiful trick.
