That was one of the most entertaining introductions i've read in a long time. For some reason i found it evocative of the movie version of howl's moving castle.

This book is scattered with delightful wit, and sofar 2 nail biting action sequences. Both H and h are nicely drawn complex characters, especially considering how short this book is. The kids are characters themselves even if they are a bit moppitish.

They finally meet again and this time is just as dramatic as the last time!
So they just spent the last 30% of the book in separate parts of russia. But the story was still interesting, with a real flavour of russia. Yet i couldn't help but chafe for them to reunite. But this time they both have a kid with them.
