Two words: Tom Heyward 😍

Already further than my first attempt! Listening to the audiobook has been helping a lot, this beginning is so slow. I like the narrative, but I feel like taking so much time to rehash Pride and Prejudice isn’t the creative choice I would make.

The limited series looks so good that I must give this another try. I recollect absolutely nothing about this book 😅😅 I’m also going to go back and forth between the audiobook and the physical copy to get through the slow beginning.

Why does this book have 95 chapters? That’s entirely too many

Why are we making Charlotte a jealous villain?? What, exactly, is the point of that?

Did the Bennet’s really treat Mary this cruelly?

I honestly could have done without chapter one as a whole and just jumped straight into the narrative. If you’re reading this you’ve probably already P&P and don’t need a rehashing of the very obvious family dynamic.

I was supposed to read this with some friends as a book club type of thing, but we’re all too busy to meet up and I’m impatient so I’m reading it anyways
