I'd almost forgot how breathtaking Schwab's writing is. It really is like coming home. Each sentance is filled with gorgeous prose and instantly brings a familiarity of reading your favorite classics. You are quite vividly swept into the emotions, internal dialogue, and surroundings of each character.

September 4th 2014: Henry; the last day he will ever fill the pages of the 6 notebooks of her story of 3 centries. The 6th isn't even full, and it's the last page Henry will ever write. "Time always ends a second before you're ready; life is the minutes you want, minus one."

May 1st 1984: This is the day that it all ends. This is the moment I realize that the remainder of this book will break me. It's a betrayal so fierce that I know Addie will never recover, nor will I.

I knew that this was coming, but I just wasn't prepared. I was not prepared for learning what amount of time Henry would have, even though I've yet to learn. I will never be prepared for Luc to openly proclaim that Henry was no mistake, and there is something so heartbreaking to hearing truth said out loud. I'll never be ready to be rid of Henry, as I'm sure Addie feels all the same.

Henry, Henry, Henry....as if for any other reason you would remember. This book is so gosh darn beautiful. I have yet to discover how this gorgeous book will end or where its plot will lead, but I'm hooked. I'm purposefully listening only on Audible, because I don't want the beautiful words to end.
