Rebekah, wastes no time setting the stage for her story. Even before we meet her book's investigator, she's set the stakes and the potential obstacles Sy will face as hunts for the killer--challenges from without and within. I can sense her experience with writing for the stage in her style, and I'm rather enjoying that.

The plot is definitely moving along faster now. Not only are we seeing Sy take the first steps into his investigation, but the killer appears to be escalating. Rebekah has put her players into place, and now it's all about letting the game play out. Curious to see if we've truly been introduced to the killer, or if Jeffrey will prove a red herring.
