So far I'm finding Laney EXTREMELY ANNOYING in a way I never found Elizabeth Bennet to be. She lacks the self-deprecating humor that Elizabeth was so great at. She also comes across less subtle and more like a bludgeon when she expresses her anger. Elizabeth only reached that point after months of digs and remarks at her expense.
