There was no cure for Sutt. For the first time in his life, David completely understood the concept of addiction. The inability to live without something that was bad for you. The total lack of resistance when it came to quitting the thing you knew would inevitably destroy you.

Sometimes it seemed to him that Sutt wanted to be caught, which made no sense to him at all. Still it was worth it, worth the risks that they took, worth it for the momentary pleasure that it brought.

He wanted more than a five, ten minute tumble in the dark before each one of them made their way to their respective beds alone. He wanted more than the risky behaviour Sutt was willing to engage in - sometimes the risker the better. David wanted to bare Sutt's skin, to worship his body all night long, to map every inch of him in leisure without fear they would imminently be caught.
