I am impressed by the vivid description of the setting and the events. They are complete in details and in terms of the emotions they generate. I loved the setting, however, to be honest, I wanted to move on quickly. In that aspect, it was painfully slow.

I am impressed by Anita Desai. Still some part left but I admire her imagination and the flow of the story.
