- "The land of grunts and squeaks" by Chris Beckett, about the beginning of language
- "The blood rose" by Susan Oke, another story of myths in colonization, with a twist.

I'm happy with the quality of the stories so far. This is a little treasure box which deserves a lot more recognition.
