Why doesn’t Gregory say he’d like to pursue Margaret rather than demand an engagement from her father? Why do her parents agree? How do we know this is set in 1812 because the language and manners don’t indicate that. Doesn’t anyone want to talk about what the deal with Wickham, I mean Northam is?
