Darling, darling, darling - the endearments and completely taking over Dan's life is creepy, especially as Dan refers to him as his boss. I'm assuming Brown was aiming to create a specific dynamic between them but the vibe is all wrong, this is bordering on uncomfortable.

He arranged a shrink.... Not suggested it, not offered to pay for one, he booked the appointment with no consultation!
Easier to pay shrinks for all his daughters victims than deal with his ghastly daughter!

I officially hate Gideon.
He has a 'powerful presence' for five years has hidden upstairs leaving Dan mid-twenties (isn't the drinking age 21 in America?) to run and face danger in his bar, lets his daughter cause all the trouble. That's it, he smirks and controls on his daughters whim.
Now we find he's smugly known about Dan's crush along and is now stepping in to take advantage.

In the turn of a page I've gone from thinking this was going to pick up to being really annoyed. WHY IS DAN APOLOGISING? his boss and bosses daughter have taken over his life are deciding what he wants/needs overruling him, they're taking advantage of him, amused by situations causing him danger and now arrogantly deciding to date him with no buildup - yet it's Dan apologising!

So Gideon hasn't won me over, and his daughter most definitely hasn't.
But the actual speed dating was cute, would have liked a bit more of it, and the inevitable misunderstanding did make me feel for Dan.
