Mangy Cat
Mangy Cat is starting
I would listen to Neil Gaiman read just about anything. His voice is so kind and gentle.

Michelle Spencer I went to Cleveland a few years ago to hear him speak. During his talk, he spoke about the day his oldest told him that she didn't need him to read to her anymore, that she could do it himself. Since that's a bittersweet moment for a parent, he said the reason he narrates most of his own work is because it reminds him of reading to his children when they were small. Just...ohmygoodness.

Mangy Cat Oh I love that! He is such a kind and caring person—that is so clear when you hear him speak. I follow him on Instagram, and awhile ago he tried to do his first live stream and it was the most wholesome and adorable thing. 🥰

Michelle Spencer He did one on Halloween this year (on Facebook, at least), reading some of his short stories and some other well-known classic short horror, ending with The Masque of the Red Death. There were storms on Skye that night, so the howling wind in the background and his wonderful voice with the spooky stories was exactly the Halloween vibe I needed. Also, if I ever get the chance to meet him, I want to thank him for all the library advocacy he does. I mean, I could fangirl all day, haha!

Mangy Cat That’s awesome! How sad that I missed it! Maybe he has it saved in his feed... YES—Neil Gaiman is an all around wonderful man in so many ways.
