This book is better than the first one. I like Francesca but her angst was often dumb. She had SERIOUS evidence of Stefano's attraction to her but doubted it CONSTANTLY, and often spent pages agonizing about things that were explicitly dealt with already, and failed to follow up on tons of important conversations. Mariko had a genuine reason to suspect Rico's devotion to her, so already worlds better!
