When you speak to someone with an accent... you don't have to use the same accent. It only works with whole entire languages. Maybe Kvothe does it to seem more approachable, but it's freaking painful to read and just annoying.

Kvothe is more and more of an annoying little bastard. Not even death and misery can keep me from disliking his personality. I feel sorry for him for 2 minutes, then he acts like a knowitall, Gary Stu bitch and it's all gone.
The person who made the funniest joke so far is a teacher Kvothe hates.

"We kill everyone you know, but then call each other by our names and discuss who is the boss and all in front of you, so you can Kill Bill our asses later on."

So far nowhere near as clever or great as the hype makes you believe. It's not awful, though Kvothe is already showing signs of being perfect at everything.

Alright, my dudes. After years of making fun of Rothfuss for being such an asshole... I am reading this. Pray for my soul. If I dislike it the fanboys will rip me apart. They already do when I say Rothfuss isn't God.
