Sommers and Blomley, "The Worst Block in Vancouver"; referencing Neil Smith's comparison of gentrification to colonisation - "the myth of the new urban frontier" - but none of the history or analysis of this piece has yet to mention Indigenous people or refer to the Land as occupied. Feels like a huge omission from the thesis' consideration. There's still a few pages to go tho!

Because I re-watched CMBYN the other day, this reminds me of when Armie Hammer reads out this doozy of an academic sentence (he uses "constitutive"!!!) and is like, "wtf did I write and what does it mean", like yeah, exactly!!!
