Going into this book I read a lot of reviews that mentioned it was slow going at first so I was expecting it to be a while before stuff started to go down. Well within the first 150 pages the main character Kira got engaged, found an alien artifact, got infected by alien, watched half her team including her fiancé get killed, basically tortured by a dr, and escaped an alien attack. Liking the book a lot right now.
