Thanks to an author who takes time to DESCRIBE a scene. And I've already chuckled. Me Fyffe knows how to speak dog. You read it right. Dogs talk to you all sorts of ways and this sweet one is saying "I'm sorry" and "Help! I'm miserable" at the same time. I'm hooked.
