DNF. I was looking forward to this since I like strong, brooding, heroes and he’s been portrayed consistently as such from the first books. Pair that with a damaged heroine in need of protection and it sounds like the perfect match to me. But I didn’t feel or get the characters’ back stories.

Also, I didn’t feel the chemistry between the two. The lines felt forced and awkward.
