• the world building is ok, a little boring, and it doesn’t capture my interest.
• alina really annoys me.
• mal is absolutely awful.

I had same thoughts about this book!!! But, my goodness, starting second half of 'Siege and Storm' it changed dramatically. The end of the trilogy totally blew my mind and became one of my favorites. Give it a chance. :D

I gave this 3 as you know hehe. Alina gets better in the sequel I felt like. But this ending of this freaking triology made me so mad because wasted potential
