I've been reading highly cheerful stuff that would be sure to cause a fight at a party, I'm sure. The part about Boomers alone would make some people raise voices if not fists. Oh my. The history alone has been fascinating if not disturbing.

Quotes that grabbed me from Chapter 6:
“This is why the best visions offer us something that, for all practical purposes, we will never actually reach, but for which we would gladly die trying.” (Page 92)
“My favorite definition of love is giving someone the power to destroy us and trusting they won’t use it.” (Page 105)
I’m not sure I agree with these, but they made me stop and think for a bit.

I wish that I could have found this in an audiobook version actually. Reading right now is a bit tricky. Thank goodness his writing is so compelling. I like his accent (color me for an American), and I wanted him to read to me.

Reading it as an e-book is making it more of a challenge, but the first two chapters have been excellent.
