A significant event in the book is when Teddy gets framed for stealing the koala when Vance is the one who stole kazoo. Something did happen because of this event and what happened is that Vance was not feeding Kazoo that he kept in his house and only gave him water. So eventually, Kazoo died of starvation.

The sympathetic characters in this book are Summer McRacken, which is Teddy's girlfriend, JJ. McRacken which is Summer's dad and the billionare who made funjungle, Charlene Fitzroy, Teddy's mom who is verry supportive of Teddy, Xavier Gonzalez which is Teddy's best friend who is always by his side. The one unsympathetic character is Vance Jessup, the school bully and is also the person that got Teddy in big trouble.

Teddy Fitzroy is the main character of the book because he is the one framed for stealing the koala and he narrates the book. Xavier Gonzalez is the sidekick of Teddy because Xavier is always around teddy when he goes outside and plays in the zoo with Teddy. Xavier also helps Teddy with everything he needs and defended him when Vance stole the koala and framed Teddy because Teddy was in the exhibit first.

The inciting incident happens about halfway through the book. What happens is that the main character, Teddy gets threatened by Vance to take the blame for kidnapping the koala of he will get beaten to a pulp. The next night, Vance sneaks into Funjungle (the zoo) and dresses up like Teddy and kidnaps the koala. Teddy admits to stealing the koala named Kazoo and is banned from Funjungle which was where he slept.
