My highlighting has run rampant and I’ve used a whole packet of page flags. There’s something about endnote 281 that I really adore. The endnotes are no longer annoying. I actually look forward to them.

The story has finally picked up. I am enjoying this a lot. I did not expect this book to be so damn funny. Like Lyle?? Imagine trying to explain him to anyone. I am understanding the names of the years, the connections b/w the characters, and the movie thing. I think.

Reading this is accepting overwhelming confusion and knowing you are being fooled by an elaborate scheme of sorts and just waiting for the punch. You fall into a haze after reading about 5 pages where it begins to flow, and then you are abruptly put back into place with a new, bizarre storyline.
