Finished with the main content of Davachi's arguments, and on to her appendices (evaluation of instruments within the medieval period). Her evaluations are actually quite interesting to note, though - and this is purely my fault, perhaps - they seem a bit detached from what has turned out to be her main focus: the application of "medieval practice" as an aesthetic focus for contemporary performances.

Some interesting concepts of early music are presented within the constraints of the recorded medium, but they must be considered as such - their motivated reasonings do not quite apply toward live performance in any way beyond the circumstantial (due to the aesthetic preferences presented here), and precisely the repertory of "medieval music" is more informed toward the Fluxus and modern recreation of it.
