This met with great controversy in our book club. I found it to be a good read but not a masterpiece. Parts seemed contrived. The plot drove the reader along. There were occasional well described naturalist writing. I would give it a C+were it not for some surprising twists of llot along the way whoch would raise it to a B- or maybe B.
