Black Lightning/Hong Kong Phooey: um. 3.5 stars, maybe? I don’t know the source material for the talking Kung fu dog so I probably shouldn’t say anything about it. I do love that Jeff is just friends with this talking dog since he’s like the last person you would expect to be like “this is a totally normal situation”

Love the phantom gun protections story, as cringey as it is

Flash/Speed Buggy: 3 stars. Nothing special, somehow both more serious and more silly than the other issues which kinda canceled each other out. Lobdell keeps reminding me why he’s my least favorite comic writer.

Reading these three volumes wildly out of order:
Super Sons/Dynomutt: like 4.8 stars, I don't normally deduct points for art especially since I've seen worse but it stopped it from being totally flawless
