I can’t explain why but Russian mafia romance trumps Irish, Italian, and Spanish mafia romance. It’s all the same but WHY DO I ENJOY IT MORE???

It's same for me to Italian (Sicilian) too, or Irısh. I guess at least for me it's because I love Italian/Irısh people and their land more.

Me too!! The Russian heroes do it for me; I think it’s the dialogue and vibes tbh. Italian is a follow up. Spanish and Irish annoy me. 😭
Agreed! I get a more badass man-bear vibe from the Russians! And I also have more sympathy for Russian mafia heroes because they often have more grim/desperate/poverty-stricken backstories to explain their way of life, whereas with the Italians I’m always like ‘puh-leeze, you have pizza and wine so just chill’. Stereotyping? Sure. Sorry? Not remotely. It’s fiction 😜

YES thats exactly it!!!! Russian hero's come across as more emotionally stunted and they fall harder for their heroines.
