I'm lemming this book - although I've never done this before with the intent of never taking it up again, I'm doing it now. It is so disinterested in tone, it seems like a waste of time. Taking up Rushdie now - he always perks me up!

Utterly boring as of now - the start was interesting and promising, but it has fizzled down completely - but will read on - hate leaving a book unfinished for fear of missing out on something good.
