Cyberpunk fiction written by Asians in English/translated into English.

I'll need to write two reviews for this lovely book! The return of Mein Kampf at the condition it won't be flagged.

As SF + literariness, this is so much better than 1984. Enjoying it far more. I'd liked Huxley before as a cultural critic/essayist, but seems he's a lovely fiction-writer too.

Why is the term ASIAN universally understood as pertaining to Japanese/Chinese/Mongloids?

Ugh. I can't find any research/ literary criticism works on the topic of 'feminism and cyberpunk anime/manga', however I phrase it. The only one I came across is 'Beautiful Fighting Girl' by Saito Tamaki - please direct me to other critical works!!!!

Can someone suggest cyberpunk/feminist cyberpunk works not originally written in English but available in English as translations?

I don't see what SF has to do with this book so far, but it is one hell of a weird, exquisitely written work.

Now, what's it with SF writers? Most I've read are hardly so well-written as the rest of literary fiction, though they have some really, really mindbblowing radical interrogations of humanity ever! I long to read a well-written SF work. Maybe it's time to get back to Tiptree.

Are these men/women writing styles stereotypes partly true?

I'm reading both female and male cyberpunk/postcyberpunk authors, and females, mostly, irrespective of the era they are writing in, tend to explicitly focus on women/LGBT issues, cultural & environmental issues. Most male writers, again, irrespective of when they wrote, keep these concerns in background, if they happen to be included. Am I over-reading?

The tech is amazing, plausible.
The plot is moving nicely.
There is sufficient intrigue.

But the writing is not crisp!

It has that slow literary Austen/Henry James feel (well, not so good) in postcyberpunk - I don't like it - it is overdone.

Despite being hard SF, it doesn't read like one. Oh dear! :(
