Interesting set-up. Runaway heroine on a voyage to the New World, setting herself up to work as a clerk. A bit far-fetched, the times being what they were, but Grafford makes it work. My current twitches for this story are a few anachronistic expressions and terminology.

The mystery/not-gonna-spoiler-it-for-you/that emerges after our heroine Rose settles in was well set-up. And I'm loving what Grafford has done with Manteo. Just wish we saw MORE of him. (I confess, I prefer third-person perspective so that I get a better idea of everyone. lol)
