I've adored this book thus far, even though I'm not usually as into the more realistic magical realism/contemporary stories. It's very engaging and hooks you easily, I find. Unfortunately I just got to a part that triggered my specific medical phobia/squicks, and I'm not sure if I can finish reading it (maybe later on?). I'll probably take a break from it then come back, because I'm very invested in the story!
