I know the direction the story just took probably wasn't quite as cliché back in 2010, when this was published. Probably. But still. *sigh*
Now I'm tempted to skim in order to spare myself further eyerolling. But you know what REALLY hurts? Up until now I honestly thought this was going to be my first 5-star read of 2021. 😩

Ouch. I hope the book can recover for you.
I was so tempted to just give up. Which was obviously an overreaction... So I made myself pick it up again today, and now I'll just hope for the best. 🤷🏻♂️

So much potential awesomeness squandered because the story got squeezed into a romance genre-box. And it did not fit. 😭
Thanks, Ele. 😥 I hope that I'll eventually find a story by this author that lives up to its promise. There's so much about her writing that I love.
