Speedreading is feeling like the way to read this. When the author went into needless detail for an entire chapter about yet more skills Bash was spending time to learn, I was able to just skip over it. (Seriously - we don't need to know every detail about gardening, just say that he did it and move on, my god. It just ends up reading like a copy-paste job from Wikipedia. Which it might be, honestly.)

I was perfectly content with reading other things than this for a change. But I realized that my Kindle Unlimited sub runs out in two days, and I don't plan on renewing any time soon. Leaving a story unfinished would bother me, so here I am, speedreading this erotic novel like it's a damn school assignment. If I had any sense, I'd just give it up, but nah.

What is with this author and hunting/skinning? Multiple times throughout the books where he spends time on it, and it adds nothing to the story whatsoever. He could totally just say "they spent time hunting" and that would suffice. But instead, it gets detailed needlessly. We get it, the protagonist is sooo skilled at things because he spent "years" learning, move on already.

Starting to get pretty bored of this. (More than I already was.) The writing is merely competent, not good, and the story is basic and quite repetitive at this point. I think I'll stick this one out, but then not continue on to 5. At least not right away. But we'll see what I actually end up doing.

Dude gets a huge meal made in his honor, and he compares it to goddamn Olive Garden? Can't make this stuff up. Not to mention the real-world references always are bad and take you right out of the story.
Everyone constantly praising Sebastian is getting very old. But I guess since they think he is a literal deity, it makes a bit of sense... doesn't make it less annoying, though.

Oh god damnit, there's a 5th book already. These get churned out way too fast. And yet I keep reading, so it's my fault.
