OMG! Feel like my personal observations which I have shared w/ my dubious fellow tango practitioners are finally being validated - Irene Dowd nonetheless has seen/struggled with “found that the challenge of maintaining unblocked flow is not the same for the right and left arms.” And why would it be given how organically they have different connections to cortex!

The mighty struggle is gaining and practicing that yummy embrace which is the essence of tango but not pursued by most since body technique (gross movements of arms and legs) are thought more valuable — not putting their visceral spirit into!

The aim of dance for sure if not daily life: cause less muscle sprains/strains and reduce joint and spinal damage! Love this book for reinforcing my artistic and professional tenants as well as Irene Dowd for her clarity of articulation.
