Apparently Hobb was working on the next in this series when the pandemic hit, but she may not anymore because there was a disease element she no longer feels is appropriate given the times.
I'm having a hard time mustering enthusiasm to continue when I know where not only this trilogy but the next one with these characters lead. I'm still glad I purchased them, but a lot of my heart was torn out along the way.

On the one hand, knowing what we have to “look forward to” in the next book regarding the Fool and Aslevjal is stressful and heartbreaking. On the other, Chade cavalierly dismissing him as if keeping the Fool from where he was determined to be was as simple as keeping him off a boat is hilarious. *insert you-got-a-big-storm-coming gif here*

Hobb, you didn't have to go ahead and put every philosophical pondering I've been having of late about the duties of friendship versus the freedom of loneliness down in less than half a paragraph like that.
