i know there are a lot of people who genuinely love this thing but man, i can't find my way into it. as much as i love reading, i admit that the range of stuff i enjoy is really quite limited, in the scheme of things. oh well - never been one for fantasy anyway, so even if i did like the writing style, the story of Beowulf probably wouldn't do much for me
