Last night, I was making my way through Part One, in which several characters are introduced, turned the page and found it was over. What? Did I miss something? Is this really enough to constitute a Part with an upper case P? Ah well, I will trudge on to Part Two, determined not to be the only person on the planet who doesn't think this is the greatest book ever written.
