Dray is still harassing Imani, and Fabiola has to tell Dray to stop, I'm sure he won't though. Fabiola said that Donna was a master of covering up her battle wounds from Dray, and I wonder when he started abusing her. I think Fabiola is going to get tangled in the web of lies she has created. I wonder how or when they will find out about detective stevens and their reaction to her. What if she didn't set up Dray?

Fabiola is not being the best gal at the moment, she is changing. Her from the beginning to now at this point she has just changed so much. She used to be so nice and naive but now she is in too deep. I think she is going to get Dray arrested and feel extreme guilt because of it and maybe get her cousins in trouble with the law as well. I think by the end, she might end up going back to Haiti with her mom.

I think Donna and Dray will not be getting back together since he was caught with a white. girl. With the author writing style I find it interesting how there will be little 2-3 page chapter of background and other characters perspectives and that the main chapters are from Fabiola perspective. I am not sure Dray goes to school, I think he should be in the same grade as Donna and she goes to school so why isn't Dray

The book is getting more interesting, Dray is still giving me bad vibes but not as bad as before. The three B's are carrying more weight than before, some illegal things are going to happen and bad soon. I think Fabiola will have to choose between her mother and her cousins and aunt. I think she is going to cut contact with the detective and that Papa Legba will start carrying even more importance.

Dray is giving me bad vibes, he knows Donna will stay with him but it is like he is trying to test her in small ways that he know won't end well or he doesn't think that he shouldn't do things to piss her off. Bad Leg keeps disappearing and then re-emerging, I wonder if he only appears when he comes up with a song, but after he goes poof. The family dynamic is very forgiving.

I like the dynamic between the characters with Fab and Kazim, it seems sweet but could turn sour and the opposite with Dray and Donna sour but could go sweet. With the way that the author writes or maybe just the vibe I get from the writing, it is almost as if something bad is going to happen soon. It is like it is building up to her mother never getting a green card or something is giving me bad vibe.

I think Fab's relationship with Kasism will continue to grow and that they will either have a big falling out or they have a falling out but still end up together. I do not like know The other characters in the book started calling her Fabulous instead of her real name because it is like they are taking apart away from her home to her.

Something that is interesting is that its taking about how you do not know someones backstory when you're new to town, so there will always be information about someone you don't know.

It is moving at a good pace, not too fast, not too slow which is nice. The writing makes me think something bad is going to happy to Fabiola.

It is kind of sad but I really like it because it is written in an interesting way
