“Two women and a man.” There is no way of knowing someone’s gender if you don’t even know who they are, like this character doesn’t, and casual mentions like this in media, like books, means that people think it’s okay to gender people based on looks, when it’s not.

Reading other people’s regrets is tough, even if they’re fictional. I have so many. I want a library with different versions of my life to see how things differ.

I like that they bring up the wedding again so I remember who Dan is and I’m not just sitting here like, “Who???”

I like that Nora destroys Neil’s bullshit “You start off as coal and the pressure makes you a diamond” with SCIENCE. Pressure also destroys other things - AND PEOPLE.

If you’re sensitive to pet loss and suicide do NOT read this book. Ugh. I don’t like this like I thought I would so far because of it.
