And then Oliver kills James for killing Richard and THAT’S why he’s in prison? But we’re supposed to think he took the fall for Richard’s murder? Right????

Okay so, as we know, Alexander found Richard. And the person to find the victim should always be a suspect. It would make sense that Alexander killed Richard, but it doesn’t make sense why, if so, Oliver would take the blame. It would also make sense that James would kill Richard, and why Oliver took the blame. However, Philippa is not to be underestimated.She is, after all awfully chummy with Jailbird Oliver.

I’ve been suspecting this from the beginning, but James and Oliver are definitely in love with eachother

I feel like Oliver did like Richard Papen and silently took the hit for what was essentially the whole group’s crime. If I’d have to guess I’d say James probably killed Richard and everyone else helped cover it up. Oliver took the hit and everyone else moved on with their lives. The author could yet surprise me though with something totally different.

I figured THAT out very early on. But the book’s good anyway
