This book has gone completely off the rails. It's so frustrating when such a promising book takes a nose-dive, especially one with such a great, well-developed character voice.

Y'all the main character just had to put on a boy's motorcycle outfit (are they called outfits? probably not) and had an internal monologue about how the outfit actually kind of fit because he's skinny, except in the crotch, where it's huge and he must've had it made especially for him. WHAT AM I READING?

I'm listening to the audiobook of this and love the voice--Ren is really believable and well-developed. The plot, however, is kind of all over the place. Also: So sick of seemingly very YA character being named Ren/Wren this year.
