Part 3 is turning out to be a lot better than I expected. Part 1 was garbage but 2 and 3 are making up for it

Part 3 is also on the meh side. For every good counterargument these is an equal and opposite bad counterargument.

The fact that each essay is written independently, means I have to reread a summary of Piketty, over and over and over. It's starting to get a little old. But part two is showing a huge improvement over part one

First part was very meh if not just bad. Part two should be better at it's supposed to argue against the empirical claims Piketty makes.

I really hope this starts getting good. Over and over they start making a good point, but then swerve into "Piketty just hates rich people", or some kind of ad hominem. I think it might just be the fault of not being a full book, but a collection of 4-5 page critiques.

Now we're in the "you just hate rich people" part of the book.

Second essay just points out that things like education and life expectancy have gone up around the globe. This really doesn't address Piketty. Maybe they are trying to say if you look at multiple axis of life quality, overall things are becoming more equal?

First essay down. Mix of reasonable criticisms, and typical "how dare you criticize the rich! Don't you know how miserable you'd be without them!"
