Okay so some action has started to arise, Shadow and Cal have now been teamed up. I think in time they will grow to not resent each other. I wonder how Cal will react to Shadow lying to him about her mission from the Queen and I also do not get good vibes from the Queen. Cal has opened more than I thought he would to Shadow, I thought him being an assassin would make him very closed off but he isn't surprisingly.

They are going on a hunt with the King coming soon and I think it is interesting how scared they are of being found out because it is like an underlying anxiety. It is small but yet still there. They have found a way to infiltrate the court which I didn't think they would have been able to accomplish so quickly.

The main character Shadow, her mother is alive just never at home so she is being raised by her Aunts. Cal is the queen's assassin, his father took a blood oath, so he has to be loyal to the queen. His father died when he was 14, and I do not know what it is like to lose a parent so I think this will be interesting to read. Sometimes I don't see my parents in a day but I can't imagine that on a large scale.
