Horrific, is all I can say; savage doesn't describe the post war situation I have nearly finished the "ethnic cleansing section". It is hard to close the door on man's evil side once it has been openned.

This is an extremely well researched piece. The author has done his homework. With this said I must admit the impact it is having on me consists of giving and reinforcing the fact my understanding that man is quite a violent, and ignorant species of life and the huge and complex cities we live in are actually quite fragile.

The war continued for several years beyond the surrender of the Third Reich; man is a brutal animal.
