Also gender roles seem very entrenched in this series. From her washing dishes at her boyfriend house after having cooked, to her doing all chores for her single dad once she comes back for the holidays. Like, he survived without you and is an adult. You should not be doing laundry for him and mealprep while he is out having fun

I guess dane’s personality is confirmed to be just about spending money on Laney. It seems at times like that is his only personality trait. Also I’ll getting quite uncomfortable with how many things he’s buying her and the money just thrown out. Like... there’s more to love and it’s just not romantic
