Got about a third of the way through but then lost interest and now, years later, I must mark it as "abandoned." I loved the entire series with Inspector Lynsley until the last book or the one before that (no spoilers but when a major character was killed off senselessly) and it hasn't been the same since.

8/20/2019 - book is still sitting on the end table gathering dust in the living room. I still would like to finish it, but it was less compelling than her other books in the series so I haven't picked it up again other than to move it for dusting since I last read it.
