I think the Swedish title would have been far more suitable (Men Who Hate Women) because that seems to be the only plot in this book. Also "Women Who Are Not Based On Reality". And "More Dry Facts Than You Ever Thought You Could Bear".

Despite the fact that I love all three books of the original trilogy, you are definitely not wrong in your statements about alternate titles. I don't know why Larsson thought I needed to know about all of Lisbeth's IKEA purchases or her pizza addiction. While I do understand the importance of the Swedish banking system (at least as regards the plot), it was SO boring to read about for the first 200 pages.

Yes, at least I feel like my opinion is well informed at least! Reading a much better book I think I got from your reading list now - The Five. About the women murdered by Jack the Ripper. It's much more my jam!!!
