p. 31 recommends this breakdown of your daily calories: 45-65% carbs, 20-35% fat, 10-20% protein. Errr... the book is from 2004 and includes the old mega-carb version of the food pyramid. I'm definitely not reading it for its dietary recommendations.

p.63: "(...running for thirty minutes on a treadmill) raised PEA [phenylethylamine] levels one day after the exercise was completed." PEA is chemically related to amphetamines but is shorter-acting. PEA seems to have an even stronger effect on mood than endorphins do.
