So far I love the quippy, humorous POV of the MC, Dan. He's very likeable and endearing.
Very interesting setting (post WWIII NYC, after a war with aliens). I like how the tech is blended into this world, but it still feels very rooted (it seems that the only way to get housing reform and for regular young people to afford renting a brownstone is for aliens to invade and kill off a huge amount of the population).
